Mini First Aid was founded in January 2014 by mum of six, Kate Ball, with a mission to deliver high-quality baby and child first aid classes to parents and carers. Since then, the business has grown rapidly and now trains over 2,000 people every week across the UK in basic and life-saving first aid.
Our multi award-winning classes are designed to be relaxed, accessible, and confidence-boosting - giving you the knowledge and skills to act in a medical emergency. We offer sessions for the whole family, including parents, grandparents, carers, and even children as young as three.
In 2021, Kate and her husband Matt appeared on Dragons’ Den and secured investment from Sara Davies MBE. Since then, Mini First Aid has continued to expand, including the development of our own range of brilliant first aid products, now stocked in major retailers.
Mini First Aid classes are CPD-accredited, and we are proud members of the First Aid Industry Body. We also provide a comprehensive range of certified first aid courses for those needing formal qualifications. As the UK’s leading provider of paediatric first aid, we are passionate about empowering families and professionals alike with essential first aid skills.

Hi, I'm Sue. I retired from a busy Admin career in 2024 and as well as helping care for my granddaughter Binx, I decided to train as a Community First Responder to be able to help my local area. I have been responding for over a year now and I absolutely love it, I never know what is coming next. I have learned so much during this year that when the opportunity came up to work for Mini First Aid I really wanted to get involved. It fits beautifully with my now semi-retired life and also with my Responder work. The opportunity to now teach first aid is one I am extremely grateful to have. I am a firm believer in that everyone should be able to help in the event of an emergency - after all, any knowledge is better than none!
